Fescue Lawn Maintenance Plans

Fescue lawns are one of the most common cool-species grasses in North Carolina. And because we know North Carolina lawns, we’re experts at taking care of fescue. With our maintenance plans, maintaining your fescue lawn has never been easier:

Round One Service (January-March)

  • Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control
  • Post-Emergent Broadleaf Weed Control
  • Fertilizer

This is one of the key applications in the control of summer crabgrass. The fertilizer will green and thicken your lawn with amazing results. The broadleaf weed control will get problematic weeds under control.

Round Two Service (March-May)

  • Pre-Emergent Crabgrass Control
  • Post-Emergent Broadleaf Weed Control
  • Fertilizer

This application will maintain color or green and thicken if you missed the prior application. The pre-emergent crabgrass control will act as a booster shot to maintain control through the summer months. Broadleaf weeds are controlled again.

Round Three Service (May-July)

  • Long Chain Fertilizer
  • Post-Emergent Broadleaf Weed Control

This is a very specialized, slow-releasing fertilizer that will feed the lawn through the stressful summer months when the turf needs it most. This fertilizer will not burn, produce flush growth, or promote disease. This product is the latest advancement in turf fertilizer.

Round Four Service (July-August)

  • Post-Emergent Nutsedge Control
  • Post-Emergent Broadleaf Weed Control

Nutsedge is a very problematic weed in many lawns. This application will help control Nutsedge and summer broadleaf weeds.

Round Five Service (August-October)

  • Fall Fertilizer
  • Post-Emergent Broadleaf Weed Control (selective)

If you are seeding the lawn, this application will help with germination and root development. This fertilizer formulation also helps the mature turf recover from the rigors of summer stress.

Round Six Service (October-December)

Three fungicide applications will be scheduled every thirty days starting in late May through August. Fungicide treatments will help control major damage to turf from disease such as Brown Patch Fungus and Gray Leaf Spot.

Grub Control Service (May through June)

This application will provide control on turf damaging grubs for about three months. Application will control the early and late grubs.
